Just before 7pm on Thursday, March 12th the WTFD was alerted to a home on Sunset Lane for a possible house fire called in by a passerby who saw smoke in a first floor room. WTFD Chief 45-1 arrived on scene, established command and upgraded the 1st alarm assignment to a Working Fire for a possible basement fire bringing the Woodcliff Lake FD FAST to the scene. Chief 710, Deputy 7 and Rescue 7 (OIC 713) responded. WTFD Engine 43 stretched one hand line into the basement where a small fire was located in the basement between the basement ceiling and the first floor.
